2. Identify the essentials (The "Golden Rule")
Before choosing cabinets, define where the three key points will go:
- The Stove: If it's 30" or smaller, remember that a 30" cabinet designed to accommodate the range hood must be installed above it. If it's a 30" cooktop, you can choose a 30" cabinet for easy installation.
- The Sink: Place it where the water and drain connections are. Depending on the size of your sink, choose a 30", 36", or even 48" cabinet if you want plenty of storage space underneath.
